- Here some main ideas which came to me. The order of the list doesn't determine the order of feature developement (except "squared" features):

If you have a feature idea (even crazy ones, lov'em !) which is not listed here and whicha can be usefull, let me known I'll add it depending of usefullness / feasibility / motivation / availability

• Adding an option to activate the trigger only once for the same versions, or every times the mismatch is detected at the end of the timers
• Adding a crontab-like timer system to retrieve official version (without affecting actual timer system)
• Providing RPM Packaging
• Making it work on FreeBSD / NetBSD / *BSD
• Mecanism to verify the integrity of the configuration file
• Command line option to choose an other configuration file instead of the default one
  • Use of multiple configuration files, creating multiple windows
• System to ease the configuration of the watcher when retrieving version (from the official resource, or local output)
• Checking software version on remote workstation through SSH
  • Launching a terminal to connect on a remote workstation through SSH
  • Connecting on remote workstation with VNC
  • VNC transit through SSH pipe
• Retrieving the new software version with a right click (compressed file, reposite git/svn/other, distribution package deb/rpm/other)
  • Uncompress / compile
  • Replacing local version
  • Replacing remote version
• Improving non-debian distributions handeling
• Internal network handeling (actually, everything gets downloaded with simple wget calls)
• Hunting down potential memory leaks made in GTK (damn it)

- Ideas coming from the community:

• No Graphical User Interface, but alerts are shown in terminal and/or logged in a file
• Option to display only 'not up-to-date' watchers
• Interaction with D-Bus
• Optimizing HTTP request with 'if-modified-since' option
